Siege Spear

Siege Spear unleash a new ep and more.
In March of 2026, Spear Siege released this new EP, entitled “Chthonic Malevolence”. The EP contains six songs for an approximate total of fourteen minutes of material. The EP and the aforementioned demo were both put out through the band’s own Antichriconoclast Productions label, which has released material from several other (mostly Texas-based) artists. Both releases also feature cover artwork done by Jon Zig, a notable Texan figure in the broader death metal underground.
One additional song, “Primordial Tyrany”, was recorded during the “Chthonic Malevolence” sessions with the intention of being used on a future split that will be determined at a later date. The demo and EP were mixed and mastered by JMTX Productions, who will continue to work with the band on future recordings.

Spear Siege formed in October 2024 and recorded the four-song “Arming the Resilient” demo a few months later. Upon its release in May 2025, several live shows in Texas followed, including serving as the local opening act for Perdition Temple and Canada’s Empty Chalice in Austin in November of 2025. The demo was positively received in the Texas underground and is now sold out. Following the Perdition Temple show, Spear Siege shifted focus from live activty and recorded their next release, an EP, with the same lineup and engineer as the demo.
Currently, Spear Siege is focusing on writing their debut full-length album, which
will tentatively be recorded in late 2026 or early 2027. As of the time of this writing, the
album will contain twelve songs, several of which have already been played live. The new material
is consistent with the previously-released Spear Siege songs with the emphasis remaining on fast,
unrelenting death metal savagery. In the meantime, the band will play regional shows in Texas
with the potential for out-of-state appearances as scheduling permits.
